Grace Makumi

I am a trained nematologist from Ghent university and a crop health specialist. Previously, I  worked at the plant quarantine centre in Kenya, screening import and export crops against quarantine pests and diseases and providing advice on proper farm management. After training at Green Arava, I developed a capacity-building program that benefited farmers from vulnerable groups and entrepreneurs. My current work involves developing training materials in the molecular field, updating data and communicating science for IPBO.
