As a child, Celestine Anyango Oduor saw her parents struggling to provide for the family. Her older sister dropped out of school to work as a house helper to support the family. Celestine promised herself to complete her education. This is the story of how she fulfilled her promise and got passionate about agriculture. Celestine took part in the 2nd edition of the Speaking Science course promoted by the Plant Biotechnology and Breeding project. During the course, she was awarded a “Science on the road” grant to receive in-depth training in storytelling and narrate her journey into science. This video is the result of the training.
